STURDY BASE - Made of automotive grade ABS plastic. Innovative design works with most cup holders. This is best suited for cup holders that are completely round. Oblong cup holders or cup holders with a mug handle cutout may be more challenging for this base. Adjustable to fit in cup holders between 2 ⅞” and 3 ⅝” in diameter. Expanding mechanism allows you to securely tighten the base in the cup holder of your choice. ALL METAL STEM AND BALL - Our competitors' plastic stem and ball systems are known to break quite easily. We've engineered ours using aluminum. This ensures trouble free use without the worry of the stem or neck snapping. Our 20mm aluminum ball provides an excellent grip. ADHESIVE PADS INCLUDED - Four, foam, adhesive pads are included to help take up space and allow for a more snug seat for the base. These pads aren't required, but may help with cup holders that aren't shaped perfectly. GOOD, BAD AND UGLY CUP HOLDERS - Cup holders vary in location, size, shape, depth and overall sturdiness. The ideal cup holder for this mount is one that is perfectly round with straight walls, not tapered. It will NOT work well with flip out or fold out cup holders, or with cup holders that only support 2 or 3 sides of the cup. Not all cup holders are created equal and we at Tackform understand that.
