NO MORE FUMBLING ( BETTER HARDWARE KIT ) - There’s nothing more frustrating than fumbling with small nuts and an wrench blindly being held behind a dashboard or under a dash bracket while trying to hold your AMPS adapter to the mounting location and feed screws through it. We’ve solved that problem with our hardware & backing plate kit included with this mount. Even works with grid style dash brackets. MORE RELIABLE UNDER HEAVY LOAD ( THICKER AMPS PLATE & CONNECTION ) - Thin AMPS Plates are a common point of failure in 20mm AMPS Mounts. This happens when the mounting plate that connects to the ball is too thin. It doesn’t provide enough surface area for the screw heads to connect to the ball which can lead the screws pulling through the plate under heavy loads over time. Our plate is 50% thicker than some competition with more reliable hardware connecting the ball to the amps plate. BETTER BALL AND SOCKET CONNECTION ( Perfectly Round, Perfect Grooves) - We take pride in quality machining. Our ball is machined to a tolerance of +/- .005”, and we don’t just throw grooves on our ball because someone else did; they are by design and meet a very strict standard. They are designed to carry a load of up to 2lbs in mobile applications and up to 5lbs stationary with a 7” arm. Poor quality machining and groove patterns jeopardize the integrity of the 20mm system.
